About From Where I Sit
Hi, I’m Chris Anthony. I’ve lived a life of service—as an Air Force veteran, a homeland security leader, and a consultant. Now, I’m navigating a very different kind of mission: living with Parkinson’s Disease.
From Where I Sit is a personal journal of that journey.
This isn’t a medical blog. I won’t be giving advice. Instead, I’ll share stories—honest reflections about what it’s like to live with a progressive neurological condition, how I’m processing it, and what I’m learning along the way.
I believe that perspective is shaped by where we sit and where we’ve sat. Mine happens to include discipline, duty, dark humor, and a good bit of grace. I refer to myself as a sentimental curmudgeon—and depending on the day, I may be more one than the other. Sometimes what I share will be reflective. Sometimes it might be raw. But it will always be real.
I’m not here to shout. I’m here to connect. Whether you’re living with Parkinson’s, caregiving for someone who is, working in the field, or simply curious—this space is for you.
Thanks for sitting with me.
